Start Living TodayWith a focus on building a community united against violence, Mountain Crisis Services and Valley Crisis Center are making every effort to provide confidential services that welcome diversity and are accessible to all community members. If you or someone you know is in an abusive or harmful relationship, please allow our group of community members to help. Again, all information is kept private and confidential, and each service we provide is free of charge. We're here to help you regain control of your live. Make the step today to choose a healthier, safer, more secure life and experience the freedom that you deserve with the help of Mountain Crisis Services and Valley Crisis Center. Individual Counseling: Trained peer counselors provide support, case management and advocacy for victims of domestic violence or sexual assault. Support Groups: We offer groups for women called "Relationship Issues". Groups for teens are offered at school sites and community offices. Call the community office in your area for the current meeting day and times. Legal Services
include assistance in preparing domestic violence restraining orders,
as well as advocacy, accompaniment and support through the criminal and
family court process to victims of domestic violence and sexual
assaulty. 24-Hour Confidential Hotline is available to find help and information regarding domestic violence and/or sexual assault. Crisis Response, Advocacy and Support is provided 24-hours a day by request of the victim. An advocate can be reached through the hotline, or during business hours at the community office. Emergency Shelter for victims of domestic violence and their families escaping a violent home. To talk about emergency shelter options call the 24-Hour Hotline. Counseling Services include crisis intervention, emotional peer support, safety planning, and on-going therapeutic recovery services to individuals and families affected by domestic and sexual violence. Both individual and group counseling is available. Case Management: MCS/VCC provides social service advocacy to connect victims with needed housing, food, medical services, childcare, employment and clothing assistance. Medical Advocacy: Emergency room and medical accompaniment is available. Parenting and Life Skills Classes: We present a series of these classes to our clients which include the following topics: Budgeting, Nutrition, Self-Esteem, Job-Seeking, Crafts, Cooking Computer Skills, etc. If you have an area of expertise that you would be willing to share with our clients, please let us know.
