Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Prevention Intervention and Recovery

Violence against women happens every day.  In fact in California, a woman is raped every 56 minutes, nearly 1 in 4 college students report being physically abused by a current partner and college aged women are 4 times more likely to be sexually assaulted.  But you can make a difference in making your campus and community safer.  By recognizing potentially violent scenes and taking action you have the poser to stop violence before it happens.

Four thing you can do to make your community safe
  1. Watch for your friends
  2. Support a friend
  3. Acknowledge harassment when you see or hear it
  4. Step in when you see or hear partner abuse

If you are interested in supporting Mountain Crisis Services and/or Valley Crisis Center and creating a community of non-violence, contact us!  We have opportunities to volunteer, contribute funds, goods, and services.
